As 2025 winds down, we can’t help but look back on what has been one of our busiest, most rewarding years yet. From rodeos and cuttings to reined cow horse, campdrafts, and everything in between, Triple One Western Industries has been lucky enough to have a front-row seat—and a live microphone—to the very best of Australia’s western sports.
But more than the miles and the hours, it’s the people that make it worthwhile. Committees, competitors, sponsors, and spectators—this industry is full of heart, and we’re grateful every day to be part of it.
Season Highlights
Cutting and Cow Horse
The year opened with the NCHA Finals in Scone, setting the tone for the season ahead. Throughout the year, we made stops at Middlemount, Nebo, and Wildhorse Cuttings, along with SQCHA shows in Condamine, Goondiwindi, Burrandowan, and Goomeri, each scattered across the calendar and each showcasing the strength of weekend cutting.
On the cow horse side, the ARCHA Reined Cow Horse Futurity also played host to Australia’s Greatest Cowhorse, giving us a front-row seat to the finest horse-and-rider combinations in the country. Add to that the Tropicana Cowhorse, and it’s clear this discipline continues to grow stronger every year, showcasing skill, grit, and horsemanship that’s second to none.
Easter Rodeo Run
The Easter long weekend was three arenas in three days—Xtreme Bulls Roma, Augathella Rodeo, and Roma Easter in the Country Rodeo. A whirlwind of bucking bulls, broncs, and packed stands that kept us sharp and smiling the whole way through.
Rodeos Far and Wide
We were privileged to bring sound and storytelling to some of the best rodeos in the country, including:
Chinchilla Melon Fest
Yelvertoft Rodeo & Campdraft
Mount Isa Show Rodeo
Mount Isa Mines Rodeo
Cunnamulla Show
Tambo Rodeo
Betoota Rodeo
Quilpie Rodeo
Each one had its own character, its own community, and its own proud tradition.
Big-Stage Events
Beyond cow horse, 2025 also brought us two events that stood tall: Australia’s Greatest Horseman, where riders and horses pushed the limits of partnership, and the Legacy of the Horse colt starting challenge, which wraps up today after weeks of growth, grit, and soft hands.
Meanwhile, off the horse and into the spotlight, we were honoured to provide announcing and production for the Australian Western Makers Expo and The Congress, celebrating both craftsmanship and competition in equal measure.
Gratitude in the Dust
Every event reminds us of the same truth: we’re the lucky ones. Lucky to witness great horses, lucky to share in the atmosphere of communities pulling together, and lucky to help tell the stories of this industry we love.
Behind the microphone, we feel connected to every competitor, every committee member, every sponsor, and every spectator. This is more than a job—it’s a privilege.
What’s Still to Come in 2025
Before we pack our gear for the year, there are still a few key events left on the 2025 calendar:
Roma Campdraft
Injune Rodeo—our hometown show, always a favourite!
Great Northern Series Final in Mount Isa
And then, it’s time for something different: an 8-week holiday in the USA, soaking up inspiration from international arenas before coming home recharged and ready for an even bigger 2026.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Our sights are firmly set on the season to come. In 2026, we’re aiming to step up into some of the major NCHA shows and major rodeos across the country, bringing Triple One sound and storytelling to the biggest stages.
At the same time, we remain committed to the events and committees who’ve trusted us year after year. Loyalty matters, and we’ll always keep space on the calendar for the shows that have helped shape who we are.
It’s a balance we’re proud of: growing into new arenas while staying true to the communities who gave us our start.
Signing Off
From cuttings to rodeos, campdrafts to cow horse, 2025 has been a season full of miles, microphones, and moments we’ll never forget. To everyone who’s welcomed Triple One Western Industries into your arena this year—thank you.
We’ll see you down the road, in the dirt, and under the lights, with the same love for the western industry that keeps us coming back.
